Hello everyone! Thank you for your interest in the Humanities Seminar Program at the University of Arizona. We appreciate your new and continued support.
Once you have signed up for a class, the next step is to access your course website and course materials. The steps of how to do so are detailed below.
First, open your browser (Google Chrome is often recommended).
In the search bar at the top of the screen, enter the following URL: hsp.arizona.edu
Once there, at the top right of the screen, click on “Learning Portal”. This will take you to thinkific.com, the software that we use to run our courses. Alternatively, you can also go directly to the learning portal by typing: https://humanities-seminars.thinkific.com/users/sign_in into the search bar.
Once you reach the login screen, type in the email address you used to sign up for the class, and type in the password you chose.
Once you log in, your home page will pop up containing squares with your class name on them.
The squares have two options: “see overview” or “start course”--you should click on “start course.” The “see overview” button does not provide anything for the course and will not lead you to the course content. The “start course” button will take you to your course’s homepage and learning material.
Once you click on “start course”, then you will be able to see sections on the left side of your screen–if not, click on the arrows to minimize the screen and see the menu. If you see the menu, skip to step 8.
Once you see these, click on the “weekly recordings” section and it will take you to the recordings of class
Select which week you want to watch and then click the “play” button
